Erstwhile the holy city of Ajmer was the empire of Chauhan dynasty. The city was founded by Ajay Pal Chauhan in the 7th Ajmer Sharif, Ajmercentury. The city has witnessed several attacks and it had been ruled by Mohammad Ghauri, Mewar Rulers, Marwar Rulers Mughals, Marathas, and finally also by British. Ajmer was also associated with a great Sufi Saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti who came here from Persia at the end of 12th century.

Dargah Sharif: Dargah Sharif is the main attraction of Ajmer. It is shrine tomb of the Sufi Saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti who came here from Persia.
